I went on New Year’s Eve with a special set menu! It was really delicious. The space is very cozy and elevated with little touches of warmth. The staff are so kind! We sat on the counter which is one of the best places in the whole restaurant. Hans’ cuisine is really unique, with each plate as beautiful as delicious. I will be back :)
Don’t miss this newly reimagined Bellville restaurant recently taken over by a group of obviously creative restaurateurs. Our lunch foursome started with a delicious bowl of watermelon-tomato gazpacho that included soba noodles. Wow. If they bottled this, I’d buy it by the liter! We chose three more starters and, again, delighted in each of them, especially the tartare de thon. While the menu described one of the starters as having a “mouth-watering” sauce, truly, that description applied to everything we tasted. We savoured each bite and sip, having refreshingly paired our meal with a complex Italian vin orange biologique (Croci Valtolla from Emilia-Romagna). The three main dishes that we shared (something from each category: mer, viande, and ravioli) were equally sublime. It would be impossible to choose a favorite. Not only was our meal delicious, but it was also stunningly presented. Since we were enjoying a lazy mid-day Sunday meal, we also opted to finish with a bottle of the sparkling sibling to the yummy orange Italian vino, along with the delicious riz au lait. C'était parfait! As we walked away, we instantly engaged in a discussion of when we can return to try the dishes we had not yet sampled and who else we would bring back next time. It is always a joy to find a new favorite restaurant.
Excellent selection of food and drinks! The menu was very varied and the desserts to die for. As a vegetarian I felt there were many options and I cannot wait to come back!
The management has changed and it’s a superb uptake! Well done team
When you have eaten other high-quality Chinese food or Japanese food, you will find that the dishes at this restaurant are simply disasters. Salty soup, spoiled vegetables, mediocre food. And the service is terrible, there is no introduction to the wine, and the too fast speaking speed seems impatient. Not recommended.
Amazing meal in a great setting. One of the best ducks I have ever had. The wine was delicious and paired perfectly with the meal. The staff was very friendly. I will definitely be back.
Enjoyable dinner at this slightly eccentric restaurant (eg the wine list doesn't specify whether a wine is white or red), with friendly and personal service. We sat on stools at a counter which I love but some people may hate - they have tables for larger parties. Tipping is encouraged (unlike other Parisian restaurants) via their card payment terminal; I panicked and put no tip and then felt bad and left cash. A curtain on the rail over the front door would have been welcome to keep out cold air.
Creative modern dishes with Asian touch. Relaxed setting with warm hospitality. Thank you!
Nice interior thanks to Cigüe but staff and menu give it a very odd vibe, kinda pretentious but also inconsistent. Not many vegetarian option, except burrata with tomatoes, a complete aberration in a supposedly asian place. Kimchi is okay, nothing memorable. Pork is very soft and well cooked. The whole dish lacks flavor but it's still interesting. The chicken skewers are very juicy and nicely seasoned. Ramen is a huge fiasco, noodles are good but overall the soup has no taste. It's definitely not the culinary experience they want to be portrayed as. And the prices??? Way too expensive for such dishes and portions. Not recommend.
